About Me

Torry Farnell-Kready, M.S., CCC-SLP
she/her

I am a speech-language pathologist, with a BSE in Communication Disorders from the University of Arkansas, and a MS in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Christian University. Beyond that, I am a self-proclaimed crazy dog mom, singer/songwriter, and eternal optimist, often called a "ray of sunshine" by friends and family. Throughout my education and career, I've worked hard to find a place where I can serve the population I love the most - adults. I've always had a passion for helping adults with their communication needs. As I completed my degrees, focusing on adult therapy, I learned about a subset of speech therapy known as voice therapy. Voice therapy clicked as the perfect specialty for me, as it would take my musical background, knowledge, and passion, to help people; specifically professional voice users and anyone with a vocal issue or injury.

Amidst my educational journey, when I was 20 years old, I experienced a medical phenomenon which left me on the patient side of a speech therapy table...along with physical and occupational therapy. As trying as that season of my life was, it has given me a unique perspective when working with other adults who are currently in the same frustrating and seemingly hopeless situation I was in. I am thankful for the trials, twists, and turns that led me here, and I am so excited to meet you, and hope you decide to embark on this journey with me.
